Preventative Services

We provide well child check ups for infants, preschool, school age and adolescents. These check ups include a thorough history to include nutrition and development evaluation, complete physical exam and vaccines, if needed.

Vaccines

We provide an evaluation of your child's vaccine record and offer suggestions to improve patient's vaccine status to keep your child protected from a variety of preventable diseases.

Acute/Urgent Care

We provide care to your child during injury and illness through a thorough history and physical exam as well as laboratory evaluation as needed. We can help your child find the road to recovery.

Behavioral Health

We provide evaluation and management for a variety of mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders to include depression, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, anxiety and autism.

Out of the Box Medical is very concerned about the health of the patients and families that come into the office as well as the families that welcome us into their home. Whether you are in our office or we are in your home we are taking extra precautions with the cleanliness of the office and the equipment that we will take into your home.

1. All equipment will be wiped down after each use

2. Masks and gloves will be worn at each visit

3. Gowns will be worn when appropriate and clothes will be changed between each home

Prior to each visit a health screen will be performed to determine the risk of COVID exposure. Please let us know if you have any risk of exposure or symptoms of COVID (fever, cough, congestion, difficulty breathing, loss of taste).

Dr. Carla Lynette King is a board certified pediatrician with almost two decades of experience. She has taken care of infants, children and young adults in a community health center, private practice as well as in the hospital setting. She enjoys educating families to improve the health of their children. She has particular interest in newborn care and pediatric mental health services. She has taken extra training in pediatric mental health to improve access to good mental health care for all children.

After years of working in a variety of settings, Dr. King decided to open her own practice to provide care to children where the family is the center. She has a desire to walk alongside families helping them make the best health care decisions for their children. As a working mother she understands the difficulty of managing a busy schedule and is excited to provide families with options for providing care. Out of the Box Medical will provide that personalized care that your family deserves. We give your family options from traditional in office care, telehealth as well as concierge services where care can be provided inside your home.

Our On the Go services provide busy families with the option of a concierge pediatric practice for their children. This concierge service gives parents the option of in office or in home care. Concierge services provide families with direct 24/7 care from their doctor. We provide newborn services for the first 2 months of life, this service provides parents with an option to stay home with their newborn and receive medical care. We also provide acute care services through a variety of options to care for your sick child during a time that works into your schedule. Whether you sign up for a bundle package or use our services as needed, we have options for you.
